Engineering change!

Ten4 is Northland’s largest and oldest engineering firm. Originally known as Intertruck Engineering, the business was started in 1995 by Paul Christie who still owns and operates the company today.

Over the years the name has changed and the company has grown to a team of 37 including 19 qualified Engineers and Certified Welders and 7 apprentices. The range of products and services has also expanded and these days there are three divisions.

Our Front Office, Design Division and Repairs & Servicing Workshop are located at 12 Gumdigger Place and our Manufacturing Workshop is just down the road at 14D Gumdigger Place.

Ten4 Transport Engineering is known as being the “go to” company for fleet maintenance, tricky welding jobs, and repairs. Widely known for our efficient service, we understand that every hour your vehicle is unproductive costs you money so we do everything possible to minimise your downtime.

Ten4 Manufacture custom builds accessories and parts for truck and transport companies.
If a part is hard to source, or is no longer available, we can make it. If you want to add an attachment to your truck and trailer and need a special fitting, we can build it. Whatever you need to make your vehicle function or look better, we can manufacture it. Click here to see examples of our work.

Ten4 Design specialises in unique, large-scale or complicated design projects across a broad range of industries and applications.

Using the very latest CAD programmes including Solidworks, DraftSight and ProNest, our highly skilled Design Consultants can create conceptual drawings, 3D modelling and cutting profiles.

For example we have designed:

  • the stage for the 2013 Rugby World Cup
  • a lightweight, highly durable Pump Station Safety Hatch that has been adopted by many councils and civil engineering firms across New Zealand
  • a 5-lane Barrier Trailer for use on Auckland motorways

And when the design is complete, we can manage the construction in house or work with your chosen manufacturer.
